Electrostatic filtration
The media used in the MEDISTAT™ filter is electrostatically charged. This is a finely meshed membrane, which filters particles down to 2 microns in diameter.
The fibres in the filter are electrostatically charged with both positive and negative charge. This causes bacteria smaller than 2 microns to be attracted to the fibres.
All bacteria will be either positively or negatively charged.
This results in high filtration without high resistance to flow, a major advantage over mechanical pleated filters.
